I recently just had the sudden urge to look up movie ratings, I was appalled with what ratings actually mean. According to CARA it means that it would have nothing wrong in it or unmoral things. Pretty much everyone could watch this movie, even little kids. An example of this would be Toy Story 1 and 2. The ratings for PG movies are motion pictures that may contain some things that parents might not approve of their children watching. Some movies that would be rated PG would be Rocky 1, 2 and 3 PG-13 rated movies are inappropriate for pre-teenagers. Parents should be extremely careful when allowing their children to watch these types of movies. Movies that would be PG-13 rated would be, The Green Hornet and the Tourist. Rated R movies contain adult material, parents are supposed to learn more about this movie before taking children to watch it. It is NOT appropriate for any children to go watch this movie according to CARA. Some rated R movies are The Swan and Due Date. NC-17 movies are rated this because it is dirty. Children are not allowed to watch these movies at all. A genre that this rating would be known in would be porn.
