     As someone who has been to several different countries and has seen a lot of poverty throughout the areas that I have been to, people don't even know about trafficking. Especially sex trafficking and how often it actually occurs in America.
     When I first became aware of sex trafficking, it makes you stop and think about how bad we think that other countries have got it but then soon realize that we have all the same problems in our own back yards. We as a nation need to become more aware of what is going on around us and need to fully understand ways of preventing this type of thing from taking over our country.

My name is Brittany Weaver and I am 19 years old. This is my first semester at MSSU, I transferred from Drury University. I live in Monett Missouri and work full time at a coffee shop downtown. I am looking forward to this class because I am not the best writer and would love to become better at it. :)
