Last night I went to a concert in Springfield and saw The Great Commission. THEY WERE AWESOME. I really enjoyed them... My first time ever seeing them but it was AMAZING. They are a Christian band but they only tour with Non-Christian bands. I didn't realize what kind of a crowd secular bands really brought in. I am a new person to kind of under ground bands and definitely a new person to the hard core bands. This was my third show to have gone to and it was different from them all. From what I am used to a concert or "show" is thousands of people and they know every song that is sung by the bands. This scene of music is wayyyyy different.
The first show that I went to was in Marshfield in this little building called "The Warehouse" it was a HUGE building for this type of music or so I am told. It was all local bands which was cool some were secular and some were Christian. The second show that I went to was at a place called "Solace" that building was about half of the size of the first. This was the best show that I have been to so far. This was EPIC. While at this concert I saw a kid get punched in the face, haha that was hilarious. This show last night was at a place called "Salad Days" this room was probably 30 by 30 square feet and honestly made me feel claustrophobic a little bit because of how many people were in that little store front building. All of the bands that were there were secular The Great Commission. It was scary to say the least.
